As you can see from the picture my shack is divides into two units. One left of the flatscreen and another one on its right.

The right unit is the ham equipment whitch consists of:

  • Kenwood TS-430S with all filters and modification for AMTOR/PACTOR,
  • on its top a sound mixer to provide the audio to the computer
  • an SWR meter for HF and 6 metres
  • and some VHF/UHM stuff like the ICOM FT-230R for the 2 metre band,
  • a Kenwood TH-F7E for PR and TCP/IP
  • and a modified SKYPER for DX-cluster via SAMS (Pocsag on 439,9875 MHz)
  • Next to the microphones you can see my ELBUG key ETM-5C
  • There is also a Yaesu FT-817 installed for satellite operation

On the flatsceen is shown my selfmade digital logbook. On top of the screen the tuning unit of the big frame antenne and a radio controlled clock in UTC.

The big microphone on the left of the picture is used for VOX operation on HF.

The left unit consists of special receiving equipment:

  • a Kenwood R-600 with small AM-Filters and a 130 x 130 cm (51,2 inches x 51,2 inches) frame antenne for long- and mediumwave DX
  • a selfmade DRM-receiver 0,5 - 25 MHz, computer controlled and software defined
  • a DSP (digital sound processor)
  • a preselector for HF and
  • a Wraase satellite receiver for weather sattelites around 137 MHz
  • the laptop left of this RX unit is used for ham dig modes such as RTTY, PSK-31, AMTOR, HELL and PR

This is my self-made transverter from 2 to 6 metres:

Under the table there is my self made 80 watts 2 meter transmitter with a QQE06/40 tube:
